Single Source Of Truth

The need for ongoing, complete, and accurate provider information has become more critical than ever. Clinical leadership is seeking a new provider credentialing platform that centralizes and maintains a single, reliable source of provider data.

Through stakeholder interviews, I developed a system map that visualizes how provider data is currently stored and integrated across 13 platforms. Additionally, I facilitated workshops to align guiding principles and define key requirements.

Connecting the dots: Provider Data System Map

I mapped out the current flow of provider information across 16 business units, managing 8 data sets over 13 platforms. The ecosystem map highlighted several gaps and opportunities, such as redundant data sets and one-directional flows, which contribute to errors and inefficiencies within the system.

We started to share this as a visual facilitation guide and began to co-create during the interview, allowing the stakeholders to connect the dots and fill the gaps.

Co-creation Session with 35 Business Unit Leaders

The system map not only exposed the complexity and redundancy in the current data flow but also served as a collaborative tool to reimagine the structure of credentialing and privileging providers.

In addition to co-creating the ideal system map, I facilicated a definition alignment work and a rating activity to createt a guiding principles for the future software.

Guiding Principles & Governance Structure

The guiding principles and requirements developed during the co-creation session became the key criteria for selecting new software. Additionally, a recommended governance structure was put in place to ensure alignment of definitions and data accuracy.
